Book Description
This is a book about Birko, his friends and his wise Granny, who had a strategy for almost any of the difficulties and worries that children (and many grown-ups) face in their everyday lives. The world is confusing, Birko and his friends often feel lost, and this book provides a 'map' to help them find their way to happier places.
Teachers will find this book a good and useful resource, particularly in covering the Experiences and Outcomes of Health and Wellbeing topics in the Curriculum for Excellence. There are a range of strategies explained, all based on proven NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) techniques, and a workbook section supports the classroom teacher and pupils in practicing these.
Parents will find this book has a multitude of stories all children will know a Birko and all children will either relate directly to one or many of the stories in which Birko finds himself. The magic in this book is when you are able to use one of these techniques to help a child make a huge difference to their life. To be able to give a child the gift of a Happy Bubble and bring joy to their life has no comparison.
