Dianne Lowther

nlp for business, nlp for work, executive NLP, people skills for IT Professionals

I have a degree in Psychology and spent my early career in line management roles in the service sector before moving into learning and development full time in 1989.

I started my own business, Brilliant Minds in 1997 and then qualified as a Master Trainer of NLP in 2009. My focus has always been on NLP for business, and in 2012 my first book was published: 'Introducing NLP for Work, a Practical Guide'.

Brilliant Minds is now a team of 9 people offering learning and development at senior level to increase leadership capability and employee engagement in technical environments such as IT, Finance and Engineering.

At the 2009 National Training Awards, Brilliant Minds won a Welsh Training Award for Partnership and Collaboration with Schaeffler (UK) Ltd on an NLP Practitioner programme for the leadership team that enabled significant improvement in business results.

Our NLP training programmes are aimed at Senior Managers, Directors, Technical Professionals and Business Owners.

Why Dianne? Capable, Trustworthy, Warm and Precise.

Dianne and I met a few years ago now and have since become regular irregular coffee buddies. Through this blossoming relationship, I knew enough about Dianne to expect that the way she delivered NLP would be thorough, precise and exacting. I trusted her (and still do). For this reason, I decided to redo my NLP Master Practitioner and LAB Profile certifications this year. Not only have my expectations been realised, they have been exceeded. I know of a few NLP trainers and rarely is there a blend of integrity, precision, warmth and ability in relating complex language patterns and constructs into something understood and relatable. In addition, she has also helped me fall back in love with NLP once more, something that is an unexpected added bonus. I look forward to seeing what else she has to offer in 2022 and will be signing up for sure.

Diane Lowther - NLP in Business

I was already an NLP Master Practitioner and working as a coach when I met Dianne. Something struck me immediately about the way Dianne talks about NLP, the ways she lives NLP and the skill with which she applies NLP in business. She has a unique approach to practising and teaching the subject and after a while I just knew that I had to do my Master Practitioner training all over again to experience her style of training. I’m always grateful that I did so because I found new depths to my understanding of NLP and many new ways of applying and teaching NLP myself. When the opportunity came along to work with Dianne as an associate delivering public courses, leadership training and coaching within some of Dianne’s major client organisations it was an absolute joy to work collaboratively with her.

Having watched Dianne’s training style with hundreds of clients, completed my own trainer training with her and worked alongside her as a coach I find that I still learn something new about the application of NLP every time I hear her talk about the subject. She brings a richness of experience and a depth of insight that consistently brings the material to life. Whenever people ask me to recommend an NLP Trainer I never hesitate to recommend Dianne…as for me she is simply the best in the field of NLP in business.

NLP training that makes a difference

I decided to study NLP with Dianne after hearing her speak at a networking event for business leaders. It's important to me that I am able to competently apply what I've learned and Dianne's courses allowed me plenty of opportunity to both learn the tools and techniques and practise to embed them. I wanted an accreditation that was properly recognised and I was impressed by Dianne's experience and her qualifications.
Her programmes made me a better coach and added significant depth to my leadership skills. My own clients have benefited greatly from this.
Since studying with Dianne, we have kept in touch and I am delighted to say that I now work with Dianne as one of her team of associates.

NLP Practitioner Training and so much more

End of 2019 I started my NLP Practitioner Training with Dianne Lowther, fully expecting to develop new skill set which would enable me to help others in life and business. What I ended up with was that and so much more as the clever design of the course meant all practice and training was conducted with the group and not reliant on self-study. This meant the outcome was much more uniform across the group and allowed each participant to discover the techniques in relation to personal experiences. I would highly recommend Dianne and her courses for a true NLP experience and training.

Dianne Lowther - NLP Practitioner Training

I took NLP Practioner Training 20 years after having first met Dianne, who was working with me as an Executive Coach. I knew one day I would and started the programme in 2019. Dianne's style is very relaxed, thoughtful and with her experience, made it very easy to understand the concepts and the application of them. I really enjoyed the programme and the people on the course were all of like mind. I highly recommend Dianne to anyone interested in doing this programme or any of the other learning packages that she offers.

A Classic...

Reviewing: Words that Change Minds: Mastering the Language of Influence

A classic for anyone who wants to master the art of adapting their communication style to suit the processing style of others. This book is a companion to the LAB profile and a good guide to the whole idea of metaprogrammes and how to use them. It is written in an informal and accessible style and does not presuppose any knowledge of NLP.

This is a must...

Reviewing: Structure of Magic 1

Not exactly a light read, but if you want to read it from the masters, this is a must. Some of this material has now been eclipsed by what came later and Grinder himself has been known to say that some of it was unnecessary and ‘over the top’, however, it remains a fascinating guide to Bandler and Grinder’s original work on language.

Excellent!

Reviewing: NLP At Work - The Essence of Excellence

If you are particularly interested in applying NLP in the business environment, then you will probably enjoy this book. It includes lots of anecdotes and examples of everyday business occurrences that will help you relate the subject to your own working life.

Much More Than an Introduction

Reviewing: Introducing NLP Neuro-Linguistic Programming

This book was one of the first NLP books written in the UK. It is a comprehensive look at the important concepts in NLP and in my opinion is much more than an introduction. It’s written in a fairly formal style with good explanations of technical terms and an NLP glossary at the back. Perhaps not the most accessible cover-to-cover read, but a good reference text used by a lot of trainers and experienced practitioners.
