Carol Haycock

Hello, I am Carol. NLP Master Practitioner, mBIT Coach, Hypnotherapy, working in Coaching, Confidence Building, Stress Management in and around Lincoln, Lincolnshire,

I want to work with people to enable them to help themselves.   This could be setting and achieving goals, confidence building, improving your resilience as examples.

I am able to bring my skills, knowledge and life experience to work with you.  I have had an interesting life, so far, and I have had to conquer my fears and doubts at times.  I served in the Royal Air Force and have worked in both the public and private sector.

One of my biggest life changes was leaving the RAF, it was my choice and I did have a new job to go to but that did not stop me from having panic attacks and worrying if I had made the right decision.  The Armed Forces are a society in themselves and it can be very scary to leave the security of that behind whether it is the individuals choice or not.

My last job was in the NHS Corporate area from which I recently retired.  This was a major life changing decision however, after a lot of processing my thoughts I realised that I wanted to make changes and work more with wellbeing and helping others.

I understand how debilitating fears can be or the changes that happen as we go through life, however, I also know that you can work through these and achieve results.   I know because I have been there.

I can work with you to be motivated to make changes and achieve results.

What a find

Reviewing: The Loss Box

I was interested in reading this book because it was not dealing with grief in losing someone as there are lots of books already available on that subject.

I found The Lost Box an interesting easy read. I read it through in the order in which it was written but I know that I will be able to dip into The Lost Box as I need to in the future.

The stories given in the book really demonstrated how the different types of losses affected the individuals but also how by recognising the loss they could possibly deal with it and move on and then remove the loss from the box. Thereby lightening their load.

It was poignant that what may be insignificant to some could be emotionally disabling to others.

Everyone will have losses during their life and these can so easily accumulate in their loss box and yet the individuals may not even realise what they are carrying around, reading this book may help them to unlock their loss box and have a clear out. The exercises in the book will help them.

This book covers several areas of loss and handles the subject matter with compassion and understanding.

I enjoyed the exercises and recognised similarities with a couple of exercises that I use. I have used and recommended my version of exercise one many times. Simple by effective.

I would recommend this book to others who may have regrets or are trapped living in the past or need to recognise their loss and put it in its proper place.
