How to Reignite The Fire Of Your Relationship By Talking The Right Love Language Everyone has a primary language of love, and unless you can speak this language, it will be like you're trying to speak English to aliens. Back to blog posts Posted by Khaled Maziad on February 10th 2021 Personal Reflections Share Tweet LinkedIn Pin Have you ever felt unappreciated by your partner after you brought a gift, said words of love, a nice dinner, or did chores all day long? It's not your fault, and it's not because your lover hates you. You're speaking the wrong language. I recently read this fantastic book by Gary Chapman called " The 5 Love Languages: The Secret to Love that lasts." Did you know that: 1. Every person has their love tank, which can be filled only using their designed type of fuel (AKA as love language) 2. Everyone has a primary language of love, and unless you can speak this language, it will be like you are trying to speak English to aliens. Regardless of your well-spoken speech, they will look at you and say haah? So, there are 5 primary languages of love. 1. Words of Affirmations - These can be encouraging or kind words and include the tone of your voice. Request don't demand. 2. Acts Of service - contributing by doing useful activities. This can be just helping around the house, preparing lunch, washing the car, etc. 3. Quality Time - That doesn't mean just spending time together while holding your phone but giving your undivided attention to your spouse/partner. 4. Receiving Gifts - I think this is self-explanatory, but it's again what kind of gifts your spouse/partner like, so it is not about being an expensive item. 5. Physical Touch - Again, it's obvious, and it includes holding hands, a massage, unexpected hug, sexual intercourse, etc. The trick here is to discover your lover's love language and become fluent in it. Using the right language to express your love is the key to love that lasts.
