Why Accreditation Matters

How can ANLP Accreditation benefit my organisation?

In an unregulated field, accreditation provides independent verification.

ANLP Accreditation enables you to demonstrate:

  • External review of course structure and assessment
  • Commitment to defined professional standards
  • Transparent student feedback processes
  • Ongoing quality monitoring

Accreditation differentiates structured, standards-based training from unverified provision. It signals governance, not marketing.

Why ANLP Accreditation specifically?

ANLP is structurally independent.
We do not deliver NLP training ourselves.

This ensures there is no commercial conflict of interest in how we:

  • Assess applications
  • Apply standards
  • Conduct external verification
  • Review renewals

Accreditation decisions are based on published criteria and External Verification Panel review.

Eligibility

I am a newly qualified trainer and have not yet run a course — can I apply?

Yes.

If you meet the published requirements, you may apply prior to delivering your first course.

Where appropriate, provisional accreditation may be granted, subject to review of post-course delivery evidence. Full accreditation is confirmed following satisfactory External Verification Panel review.

I run an established NLP training company — is there a reduced process?

No.

All applicants follow the same process to ensure fairness and protect the integrity of ANLP Accreditation.

Experienced providers typically already hold the required documentation and present it in the requested format.

Consistency safeguards credibility.

The Application Process

How do I apply?

After reviewing the Accreditation information and guidance documents, contact the ANLP office to book a professional conversation.

How long does the accreditation process take?

Once a complete application is accepted for review, ANLP aims to provide an outcome within approximately 7 weeks.

If further information is required, timelines may extend accordingly. Applicants are kept informed throughout.

Who sits on the External Verification Panel?

The External Verification Panel (EVP) consists of experienced NLP Trainers and Master Trainers with knowledge of structured assessment and evaluation processes.

The EVP operates independently to ensure:

  • Consistency
  • Fairness
  • Alignment with published standards

Current panel members are listed on the Accreditation page.

What documentation is required?

Applicants must demonstrate:

  • Structured course design
  • Clear learner agreements
  • Transparent assessment processes
  • Appropriate policies (e.g. equality, complaints)

ANLP may provide examples of policy areas for reference. All documentation must be tailored to the applying organisation.

ANLP does not prescribe teaching style or methodology. Accreditation focuses on governance, structure and quality assurance.

Ongoing Accreditation Requirements

How is accreditation maintained?

Accreditation is subject to ongoing review.

Accredited trainers must:

  • Abide by the terms of the contract
  • Collect and retain course evaluation evidence
  • Submit monitoring samples at renewal when requested
  • Comply with annual review procedures

Continued accreditation depends on continued compliance with published standards.

Certificates & Seals

Can I use the Accredited Trainer logo on certificates?

No.

The Accredited Trainer logo may be used on:

  • Websites
  • Promotional materials
  • Social media
  • Marketing communications

For accredited Practitioner and Master Practitioner programmes, uniquely numbered ANLP seals or ANLP-issued certificates must be used. Overseas Accredited Trainers can only use the Digital versions. UK based Accredited Trainers can choose digital or paper based.

Do I have to purchase ANLP seals or certificates?

For accredited Practitioner and Master Practitioner programmes, uniquely numbered ANLP seals or ANLP-issued certificates are required. Overseas Accredited Trainers can only use the Digital versions. UK based Accredited Trainers can choose digital or paper based.

This ensures:

  • Secure, traceable certification
  • Centralised record keeping
  • Consistency across accredited providers

Seals may be optional for other NLP-related programmes unless specified within the accreditation agreement.
