These criteria define the requirements for virtual delivery to meet those standards.
While the Covid-19 pandemic accelerated the adoption of virtual training, ANLP membership requirements have not changed.
A Practitioner Training still requires a minimum of 50 hours of synchronous face-to-face delivery.
What has evolved is the definition of what constitutes synchronous face-to-face training.
Virtual live delivery is not equivalent to self-paced online learning. It must meet defined structural, assessment and ecological safeguards to ensure professional integrity.
The standards below set out the conditions under which virtual training will be recognised.
For a virtual programme to be accepted for ANLP Membership or ANLP Accreditation, all criteria must be met.
These criteria, published on 12th June 2020, permanently replace the temporary guidelines introduced in March 2020.
*A face-to-face follow-up element is considered best practice rather than mandatory. Practitioner programmes vary significantly in style and depth, and ANLP recognises this diversity. Trainers are therefore expected to exercise professional judgement and uphold best practice appropriate to the programme delivered.
**this requirement does not apply to any certificate issued by an ANLP Accredited Trainer, which includes an ANLP seal.
