Another geographically diverse attendee list gave some insightful perspectives on life, the universe and everything… well, not quite… and yet the implications of the discussion were deep and may have a huge impact on how we progress with our NLP-based businesses…

As with all Community Cafes, the discussion meanders, each seemingly trivial point leading us deeper and deeper into a world of discovery and insight. 

Obviously, the British people present started with discussing the weather, went on to failed travel plans to the NLP International Conference (Sold Out!!)… onto trekking on Scottish mountains, the Himalaya… Japan… we travelled the world in 3 minutes!

Then we talked about Well Formed Outcomes (WFOs) and the upcoming Association for Project Managers (APM) webinar and the way WFOs are used in what we do and why they can be better than SMART/MoSCoW goals.  One person said that they had heard the “A” in SMART being used as “Attractive” as well as “Achievable” and yet WFOs gets the person/people involved to associate into the project and really feel it… “buy-in” to the goal itself…

Then there was a change.  With respect to project management and also chunking up and down…

“A lot of the heads of top businesses are now saying we need people with human skills. We don't need people to be the techies, because the AI is going to be doing all that for them soon.”

Then we dove right into AI and Coaching and what the impact might be and what we can do to be involved…

We explored:

How AI can support; not replace; the deeply human art of coaching.
The ethics and boundaries coaches must hold in an AI-integrated world.
How AI tools can enhance coach training, learning, and reflective practice.

We have deep AI discussions and the impacts on how they are being used in a number of business situations and what we can do to embrace the technology and retain our humanity.  We are ALL becoming impacted by AI and understanding our role in learning and discovering how it can support us and how we can be discerning in how we use it becomes important for our future…
