Best Practice Guidelines

As an ANLP member, you are encouraged to deliver your NLP in line with our shared values and to the best of your ability. To support you in doing this, we have some guidelines and templates which you can use to enhance your business practice.

These are downloadable from your members dashboard or via the Resources Tab on the website menu.

Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) Guidelines

On 1st March 2011, the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) extended their remit to cover marketing communications on organisations’ own websites and any other non-paid for space under their control (eg Facebook). Full details of their remit can be found here

ASA Guidelines

The ASA’s remit has been extended to ensure that advertising and marketing materials on websites, as with other advertising, is decent, legal, honest and truthful. The CAP Code (and the BCAP Code for broadcast advertising) is written and revised after wide ranging consultations with stakeholders in order to ensure the integrity of advertising, promotions and direct marketing.

The ANLP Code of Ethics already encourages similar levels of responsibility, so providing you are complying with these, you are already well on the way to complying with the regulations.

The Committee of Advertising Practice (CAP) work with business owners and agencies to provide guidance and advice for complying with the current and new regulatory remit. The ASA enforces the Code, and the CAP Copy Advice Team advises advertisers on how their advertising complies with the Code and where necessary, suggests changes.

ANLP worked with CAP to provide some general and specific advice for their members.

To access the ANLP advice for members, please go to your members dashboard or to the Resources Tab on the website menu.

Business Templates

ANLP are often asked if we have any templates that members can use as a starting point when developing their own business.

Some of our more experienced members have kindly given us permission to share their contracts and pre-screening information in word document form, so that you can download these and tailor them to your own requirements.

Please note that these are generic documents for guidance only and we do recommend you seek independent legal advice when drafting contracts, to ensure they meet your specific requirements.

To access the business templates, please go to your members dashboard or to the Resources Tab on the website menu.

Marketing Guidelines

ANLP have produced Top 10 Marketing Tips guidelines for making best use of your membership.

To access these tips, please go to your members dashboard or to the Resources Tab on the website menu.

Q&A Sessions for Trainers

The ANLP Team are a resource for you to access so utilise the free Q&A sessions available to you, which give your students the opportunity to interact with ANLP live via Zoom during their NLP Training.

For a number of years, Karen and Kash have been ‘virtually’ joining Trainer Members on their NLP training, towards the end of the course, for a 30 minute Q&A session with their NLP students...quite often this takes place during a break or first thing in the morning, before the day starts, so it is as unobtrusive to the training schedule as possible!

This session gives the students the opportunity to ask about ANLP, NLP in a business and practice context, the resources we provide, the benefits of being a Member of a Professional Body, our Code of Ethics, the NLP Conference and much, much more.

It also gives you, as the Trainer, the opportunity to demonstrate the close bond you have with ANLP and why Professional Body Membership is important to you.

This service is available to all our Trainer and Accredited Trainer Members…free of charge.  Just email us when you arrange your trainings, so you can reserve your time slots (subject to availability) and we will be delighted to join you, live via Zoom, to take questions directly from your students.

Case Studies

Members have the opportunity to add their case studies and success stories to the website, so potential clients can read about how NLP can be successfully used in a number of different ways. As all these case studies are available on the ANLP website, what better way to demonstrate to your potential clients how NLP can benefit them. So the case studies are a valuable resource for both you and your clients.

To add your case studies to the website, go to your members dashboard and select the Case Studies option.
