I hope you are well.
I have recently qualifed as a counsellor and psychotherapy with Salford universty during the summer of 2023. I am now completing the intregrated masters counselling and psychotherapy. My placements were with women's aid and place2be. My placements allowed me to specialise in domestic abuse and childhood trauma and challenges.
During May 2023, I delivered a workshop at Salford university called the complexity of skin colour. This was a workshop I put together by completing two courses with Simon education: black history course and pan African teaching. I also completed my own individual research by reading and watching documentaries. The workshop was a great success in helping people understand terminology, question history and share their experiences and feelings around the topic in a safe space. Before starting my degree journey, I was personal training and having 1-2-1 NLP sessions with my clients around body image. This led me to make a intutive eating booklet to help clients build a better relationship with food. It also meant exploring childhood which greatly connected to their relationship with food.
Overall, my experiences and work have led me to the following niches below. Niches:
- Domestic abuse.
- Body image
- Childhood trauma.
- Child sexual abuse.
- Racism and the complexity of skin colour.
- Motherhood.

My experience of Stasia Banto has been very positive. She is an empathic professional that is astute and able to expertly guide you to the areas where deep lasting change is needed. I would highly recommend her as a practitioner and look forward to more sessions with her.
