As an adopted child, growing up I had so many blind spots resulting from limiting generalisations I had made about myself, others and the world we live in. Looking back, I was essentially trapped by my thoughts... because I believed them. I had no concept of internal representation and believed that the meanings I was making about life were 100% true. My teenage years were engulfed with limiting beliefs and values conflicts, resulting in destructive behaviour and depression. In 2016, someone switched the lights on.
