Purpose

The Association for Neuro Linguistic Programming (ANLP) recognises that Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools can support creativity, research, and communication. This policy sets out clear guidelines for the responsible and ethical use of AI in relation to ANLP’s publications, communications, and professional practice.

Principles

  1. Original First
    • All articles, submissions, and materials created for ANLP (including Rapport magazine, website, newsletters, and training resources) must be original in the first instance.
    • Authors are expected to produce their own work, ideas, and insights before considering any enhancement through AI tools.
  2. AI as Enhancement, Not Replacement
    • AI may be used to support editing, formatting, or enhancing clarity of an original piece.
    • AI should never be used to generate full articles, research papers, or content presented as solely the author’s own work.
  3. Transparency
    • If AI tools are used in the creation or refinement of ANLP content, this must be acknowledged appropriately.
    • Contributors should be prepared to outline how AI was used if requested.
  4. Integrity and Authenticity
    • Content submitted to ANLP must reflect the author’s own perspective, experience, and professional expertise.
    • AI-generated text must not undermine the authenticity of NLP practitioners’ voices or the credibility of ANLP publications.
  5. Confidentiality and Data Protection
    • AI tools must not be used to process, store, or generate content from confidential client data, private conversations, or sensitive information.
  6. Ongoing Review
    • As AI technologies evolve, ANLP will continue to review and update this policy to ensure it reflects best practice and safeguards the reputation of NLP and its community.

Summary

ANLP supports the thoughtful and ethical use of AI. Whilst AI can enhance clarity and presentation, the heart of all ANLP publications must remain original, authentic, and human-led.
