I am an INLPTA trained and Certified NLP Coach and Trainer and an mBIT Master Coach and Trainer. I bring my knowledge, skill and experience from different sectors to my training and coaching with a joy and passion for what I do. I've the 'best job in Ireland' and get to work with amazing people, on a daily basis, in training and coaching.
Although I'm based in Waterford on the South East Coast of Ireland, I deliver my training both online and in venues across Ireland.
I aim to ensure that my trainings are active and participative, delivered in a safe learning environment, with a dash of fun and enjoyment. My aim is to facilitate participants in discovering and tapping into their natural style of learning and discovery. In coaching, I draw on the co-active coaching methodology and bring a person-centred approach to my coaching. I focus fully on my clent(s), supporting and challenging in a safe and impactful manner. I'm conscious and considerate of clients' individuality, learning styles and preferences.
I have a background in training of 40 years. I worked for 9 years in the multi-national sector, 8 in the community and voluntary sector and 24 years self-employed as a trainer, coach and facilitators in various sectors - primarily community/voluntary/financial co-operative/SME (small and medium enterprises).
I'm a member INLPTA (the International NLP Trainers Association), ANLP (Association for NLP), ICF (International Coach Federation) and the Learning and Development Institute (L&DI - formerly the Irish Institute of Training & Development IITD).
In my spare time I volunteer with an organisation that works with young people (I train the adults) and a local organisation where I'm on the Finance Committee. I'm also part of the voluntary organising committee for the NLP Festival Ireland and it's wonderful to have the support and expertise of ANLP in bringing the event to fruition. The first NLP Festival Ireland was held in Co Kilkenny in Nov 2024 and our theme was NLP Stories and Magic. The second NLP Festival Ireland is being held in Dublin in Sept 2025 and our theme is Embodying NLP. Our aim with the NLP Festival Ireland is to build and strengthen the NLP community across the island of Ireland by networking, deepening connections and collaboration and having some fun and enjoyment along the way.
