David Shephard is a globally recognised Master Trainer of Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), NLP Coaching, Time Line Therapy®, Hypnosis, and Hawaiian Huna. He has trained world-class performers, athletes, entrepreneurs, and executives to achieve breakthroughs in both their personal and professional lives.

David says:

David’s journey began with early inspirations that shaped his life and career. From Elvis Presley, he learned the courage to stand out, reinvent himself, and remain true to his authentic self. From his father, he discovered the profound impact one life can have on others, witnessing first-hand how service, integrity, and humanity leave a lasting legacy.

He discovered NLP through the early works of Richard Bandler and John Grinder, and was inspired by Tony Robbins’ transformational work. Meeting Dr. Tad James, who had worked with Robbins and Bandler, was a pivotal moment, sparking David’s excitement to explore what others often overlooked. This curiosity became the foundation of his depth and expertise in NLP, which he now shares with thousands of delegates worldwide.

Through his training journey, David explored psychodrama, hypnotherapy, fire-walking, Hawaiian Huna teachings, and most notably NLP. By 1993 he became certified in NLP and founded The Performance Partnership. Just three years later, he achieved the distinction of Master Trainer, two years ahead of the typical timeline, joining the ranks of pioneers such as Dr. Tad James, Julie Silverthorn, and John Overdurf.

David has co-authored Presenting Magically with Dr Tad James, He has authored numerous Audio Programmes, such as the NLP home study programme including Conversational Change, Personality Matrix, Selling Magically, and Coaching Skills for NLP’ers, and written forewords for leading NLP publications. Having trained and practised Time Line Therapy® longer than anyone else, he is proud to teach from the original source material, maintaining both authenticity and rigour.

He has applied his expertise across business and sales, helping clients increase profits by 500%, achieve record-breaking results, and transform personal and professional performance. One of his trainees even entered The Guinness Book of Records for selling the largest life insurance policy ever written. He has also worked with top executives, athletes, and performers to boost communication, leadership, and influence worldwide.

In addition to training and coaching, David has presented to HRH King Charles on NLP and Time Line Therapy® to support veterans’ mental and emotional wellbeing. He also co-founded Fix My Mind, a clinical hypnotherapy programme designed to help people transform their lives while providing a business pathway for aspiring therapists.

Despite his global reputation, David remains grounded, enjoying the simple pleasures of life; reading, playing guitar, practising magic, and connecting with people meaningfully.
