Sam O’Prey

With over two decades of experience in sales, marketing, and communication, I've embarked on a journey with NLP to analyse and comprehend the world and its people. My ongoing training with John Cassidy-Rice of NLP Excellence has deepened my expertise. I am also trained and certified in hypnotherapy. Additionally, I've been instructed in active listening and crisis negotiation by Richard Mullender, a former Scotland Yard trainer and hostage negotiator, and in Behavioural Observation and Profiling by a former US military intelligence trainer.

I hold a postgraduate diploma in data-driven marketing, with specialisms in B2B marketing and behavioural economics. I pursued studies in and certification in customer experience marketing and management at Cranfield University, earned a professional certificate in data science from Microsoft, and achieved a Level 6 PDA in digital marketing with the Chartered Institute of Marketing.

I have applied NLP in high-stakes negotiations, sales, marketing communication, and behavioural analysis. Currently, I'm eager to use my skills to help protect people from undue influence, coercion, and harm, both in the digital realm and in the real world. I am also interested in Lacanian psychoanalytic theory as a lens in analysing marketing, advertising and media.

I am currently pursuing an MBA with a specialism in Business Psychology.

I work in business intelligence and operations full-time. In my spare time, I am a writer and the developer of the Cognitive Shield Media Analysis method and app (link found in bio) and the Transformative Edge Marketing Approach.
