John Seymour is one of the first and best known British NLP trainers, John developed an outstanding reputation for the integrity, quality and effectiveness of his courses over some 35 years.

John trained originally in NLP with Grinder DeLozier Associates at Santa Cruz in 1984 and started training that year as John Seymour Associates. His NLP teachers included John Grinder, Judith DeLozier, Robert Dilts, Richard Bandler, and many of the other well-known early NLP trainers and developers.

John developed and ran NLP Practitioner, Master Practitioner and Trainer Training courses in London and Bristol with the help of a team of trainers he’d developed through personal apprenticeships. He was one of the first NLP Master Trainers in the UK and, unusually, received two Honorary NLP Trainer Awards. He was also the only person to be appointed National Tutor for NLP in Higher and Further Education in the UK.

John wrote “Introducing NLP” with his then apprentice, Joseph O’Connor. It was translated into 14 languages and sold over a million copies, becoming one of the bestselling NLP books. They also wrote the first published book on NLP training, “Training with NLP”.

As well as running the public NLP training courses, he worked on diverse change projects and tailored NLP skills training for over 100 organisations in the UK, including some of the best known, specialising in culture change. He also worked with many individual clients 1:1.

Before NLP, John was a gifted teacher, co-founded an experimental utopian community, then designed and built an early eco-house.

Since retiring, he is now focussed on the planetary emergency. He has created a democratic innovation, the Citizens’ Mandate for Change, with an accompanying book “Saving Our World: Plan B – the Citizens’ Mandate for Change and You”, and a website: citizensmandate.com. He is currently working on related projects and a second book.

John now lives in the Welsh hills where he’s been creating a one acre idyllic garden.
