Sheri’s journey to being an NLP Master Trainer began in the1980's when she met Richard Bandler in Santa Cruz. At the time, she had many things happening in her life, and she was in the midst of preparing for her master's degree in physical therapy. This was after completing her bachelor’s degree in English and French literature from UC Santa Cruz. Sheri’s interest and curiosity grew about NLP, so she picked up 'The Structure of Magic' and it felt as though she was learning a new language. Fast forward many years into her successful career as a physical therapist in her own private practice; Sheri found herself returning to a question that had intrigued her for quite some while: "why do some people experience devastating events and still move forward, while others become stuck by seemingly minor incidents?." She wasn't actively seeking the answer then, simply forming the inquiry.
That curiosity eventually led her to a coaching class with her occupational therapist business partner and the class was filled with NLP. It exceeded every expectation, and she just kept going. Sheri completed her NLP Practitioner and Master Practitioner certifications, became a trainer for the company and has been training across the country for over seven years. Sheri holds her Master Trainer certification with both Michael Stevenson and Robert Dilts. Michael Stevenson is the founder and owner of Transform Destiny, where Sheri teaches and has been a key figure in her teaching journey. She was neither looking for or anticipating a major life shift in her 50's, but this work opened a new realm of possibility she did not ever imagine. . Bruce Lipton was also an influence. He stated "The only way to make change physically, emotionally, mentally is through the subconscious mind and the best way to do that is with Hypnosis." This resonated deeply with Sheri.
Today, Sheri loves training, making a difference, and contributing positively to the world. She maintains a rich private practice integrating NLP, Hypnosis, Hands on Therapy and she teaches workshops locally. Sheri’s aspiration is to expand her workshops, travel to teach and share all her experience and knowledge with as many people as possible.
