Martin Weaver helped to set up the advice line for the Terrence Higgins Trust an organisation close to his heart as a gay man coming out in the 1980s around the threats of HIV and AIDS. His curiosity about how the helping processes he was taught worked led him to NLP, Supervision and to Psychotherapy which he integrates in his practice. His work with the therapists supporting the survivors and responders to the 7/7 terror acts in London in 2005 has led him to work with other disasters and to co-devise a method for creating resilience in those who may have to respond to such threats.
