Initially uncertain about the severity of her condition, she described how her fear necessitated she take time-consuming precautions, including taping her clothing at the wrists, ankles, and neck, and sealing her mouth, to prevent any potential contact with mice. The effect This debilitating fear meant that the client was unable to relax at home without first engaging in these laborious and uncomfortable preparations. The client described feelings of disgust on visualising a mouse or seeing a picture of one but was previously doubtful as to the existence of any effective treatment and had opted to 'put up with it'. The anxiety of encountering a mouse dominated her daily life, and her inability to enjoy an evening at home without taking precautions highlighted the profound impact of her phobia Solution To assist the client, who volunteered as a demonstration subject during my NLP Practitioner course, I first explained the Phobia Cure Process to her and the group. Then, over approximately 45 minutes, I guided the client through the phobia cure procedure. The client appeared to be relaxed and engaged throughout, with full access to all of her senses during each step of the process. Once completed the client felt fine, she returned home and was able to report on the effectiveness of the process the next day. That evening a mouse had appeared on the television and her two children turned to her, expecting her to have a severe reaction, but she didn’t. Her children were very surprised and pleased. The client still reports she doesn’t like mice, but the phobia is effectively gone and the fear no longer has a negative effect on her life. Result Sixteen years post-treatment, the client continues to report a transformative and enduring outcome. She remains entirely free of her former fear of mice, demonstrating the lasting efficacy of the NLP Phobia Cure Process. The client's experience underscores the profound and life-changing potential of targeted phobia interventions. Robbie Steinhouse NLPU certified Master Trainer: Central London
