Writing for the ANLP Website

Build Your Professional Recognition by Sharing What You Know

Your ANLP member profile is an important part of your professional presence. Contributing content to the wider ANLP website gives you another opportunity to demonstrate your knowledge, experience and commitment to NLP.

Guest blogs, Knowledge Base articles and case studies help potential clients, organisations and other professionals understand:

  • how NLP can be applied in real situations
  • the range of outcomes NLP may support
  • the experience and specialisms of ANLP members
  • what professional NLP practice looks like

When your contribution is published, your name can be linked to your ANLP profile, helping readers discover more about you and your services.

Why Contribute?

Writing for the ANLP website can help you:

  • raise your professional profile beyond your own website and social media
  • demonstrate your knowledge through useful, experience-based content
  • build credibility in your specialist areas
  • give prospective clients greater confidence in your work
  • create content you can share through your own marketing channels
  • contribute to the professional recognition of NLP
  • help ANLP promote the breadth and value of the work carried out by its members

Every contribution adds to the body of credible, accessible information available about NLP. The more practical evidence and professional insight we can share, the stronger our collective ability to explain NLP to the public.

Who Are We Writing For?

ANLP website content is primarily written for members of the public, prospective clients and people who may be new to NLP.

The purpose is not simply to explain NLP theory. It is to help readers understand how NLP can be used in different situations and the positive outcomes it may support.

Your contribution should therefore be clear, relevant and accessible to someone who does not already have extensive knowledge of NLP.

Guest Blogs

Guest blogs offer an informal way to share your experience, perspective or practical insight.

ANLP may request contributions relating to a particular topic or theme, often to support wider website and social media activity.

A strong guest blog can introduce readers to your work, demonstrate your approach and encourage them to visit your member profile.

Guest Blog Guidelines

  • Add a clear, concise title.
  • Include your name so your article can be linked to your member profile.
  • Focus on a specific topic.
  • Draw on personal or professional experience rather than concentrating on theory.
  • Write in a friendly and accessible style.
  • You may write in the first person.
  • The maximum length is 500 words; approximately 300–350 words is ideal.
  • Keep the needs and interests of the public at the centre of the article.

Knowledge Base Articles

Knowledge Base articles help ANLP develop a reliable body of information about NLP, professional practice and the many contexts in which NLP may be used.

These articles are generally more structured and informative than guest blogs. They provide an opportunity to demonstrate your knowledge of a particular subject and establish a stronger association between your name and your specialist area.

ANLP may request specific articles or occasionally adapt a suitable guest blog for inclusion within the Knowledge Base.

Knowledge Base Article Guidelines

  • Add a clear, concise title.
  • Include your name so your article can be linked to your member profile.
  • Focus on how NLP relates to the topic or situation being discussed.
  • Explain the potential benefits in language the public can understand.
  • Use a professional, informative style.
  • Write primarily in the third person.
  • The maximum length is 800 words.
  • Avoid unnecessary jargon, unsupported claims and lengthy explanations of NLP theory.

Case Studies

Case studies are one of the most valuable ways to demonstrate NLP in practice.

Rather than simply telling people that NLP can be effective, a case study shows how it was used, what changed and what the client experienced. This can help potential clients recognise situations similar to their own and understand the practical value of working with an NLP professional.

Published case studies also contribute to the wider evidence base for NLP and help ANLP represent the variety of work undertaken by members.

You can submit a case study through the Case Studies section of your Member Dashboard. The online template provides a series of questions to guide you through the process.

Case Study Guidelines

  • Answer each question within the template.
  • The maximum length for each answer is 200 words.
  • Explain the situation, the work undertaken and the outcome clearly.
  • Focus on the benefits and changes experienced by the client.
  • Write from the client’s perspective wherever possible.
  • The style may be formal or informal, provided it remains clear and professional.
  • Protect the client’s identity and obtain appropriate consent before submitting identifiable information.
  • Only provide images you have permission to use. ANLP can source a suitable image when one is not supplied.

Make Your Contribution Work Harder for You

Once your content has been published, share it through your own website, newsletter and social media accounts.

A published article or case study provides more than a one-off website contribution. It can become a professional resource that demonstrates your expertise, supports conversations with prospective clients and strengthens your wider marketing activity.

By contributing, you are not only helping ANLP explain and promote NLP. You are giving the public another way to discover your knowledge, your work and your professional profile.
