Sam O'Prey

I have dedicated over two decades to sales, marketing, and communication. My exploration of NLP has been focused on using it as a tool for analyzing and understanding the world and its inhabitants. I have been, and continue to be, trained by John Cassidy-Rice of NLP Excellence. Additionally, I have received training in active listening and crisis negotiation from Richard Mullender, a former Scotland Yard trainer and hostage negotiator, as well as in Behavioral Observation and Profiling from a former U.S. military intelligence trainer.

I hold a postgraduate diploma in data-driven marketing, along with certificates in B2B marketing and behavioral economics. I studied Customer Experience Marketing and Management at Cranfield University, earned a professional certificate in data science from Microsoft, and obtained a Level 6 PDA in digital marketing.

I have applied NLP in high-stakes negotiations, sales, marketing communication, and behavioral analysis. Currently, I am interested in leveraging my skills to help protect people from undue influence, coercion, and harm, particularly in the digital realm but also in real-world situations.

I am also studying and interested in psychographic profiling, Lacanian psychoanalytic theory and Buddhist psychology.

As part of my master practitioner modelling project, my training in hypnotherapy and my writing generally I am currently exploring the use of NLP and applied behavioural psychology within marketing and communication in two key areas: promoting positive social change and serving as an analytical tool to identify, understand, and safeguard ourselves and our loved ones from undue influence, coercion, and control.
