NLP Virtual Training Criteria ANLP sets the professional standards for NLP training recognised for both ANLP Membership and ANLP Accreditation. Back to NLP Training & Careers Share Tweet LinkedIn Pin ANLP sets the professional standards for NLP training recognised for both ANLP Membership and ANLP Accreditation. These criteria define the requirements for virtual NLP training to meet those standards. While the Covid-19 pandemic accelerated the adoption of virtual training, ANLP membership requirements have not changed. A Practitioner Training still requires a minimum of 50 hours of synchronous face-to-face delivery. What has evolved is the definition of what constitutes synchronous face-to-face training. Virtual live delivery is not equivalent to self-paced online learning. For professional recognition, virtual training must meet defined structural, assessment and ecological safeguards to ensure professional integrity. The ANLP Criteria for Virtual Training Criteria set out the conditions under which virtual training will be accepted for ANLP Membership. What this means for students If you are considering virtual NLP training, it is important to check that the course is live, interactive and professionally assessed. Virtual NLP training can be valuable when it is delivered well. The key distinction is that professional virtual training must be live, interactive and assessed. It is not the same as watching pre-recorded videos or completing an online-only course. What this means for trainers If you are delivering NLP training virtually and want that training to be recognised for ANLP Membership or ANLP Accreditation, all criteria must be met. This includes live delivery, synchronous attendance, supervised practice, live observation of student competence, appropriate support, sufficient student-to-assistant ratios, suitable certification wording, and appropriate insurance cover. You must also apply the required ecology checks to protect learners and maintain professional standards in a virtual environment. In summary ANLP recognises that NLP training can be delivered virtually where it is live, interactive, properly supervised, appropriately assessed and professionally safeguarded. Virtual training is not the same as online-only or self-paced learning. These criteria help ensure that virtual NLP training maintains the integrity, safety and experiential quality expected of training recognised for ANLP Membership and ANLP Accreditation.
