Executive Coach and communications expert
Edmund is an executive coach with more than 20 years experience of coaching, guiding and mentoring business and organisational leaders.

He works with executive level teams and individuals – helping shape business and communications strategies, and enabling the most senior players focus on how their thinking can be, will be, and should be interpreted inside and outside their organisation.

He takes an active role in helping to develop, then support, the senior executive behaviours required to ensure the whole organisation is sustainably engaged in strategy delivery. Much of Edmund’s coaching work is change related which often involves him in developing and implementing processes and tactics that enable change to be seen as an outcome, not just a process.

As an experienced hands-on facilitator and consultant, Edmund has led major change initiatives as well as previously holding senior line management roles in industry, both in the UK and France.

Whilst with Zurich Financial Services, he had overall responsibility for the change and communications-management aspects – including the human due diligence – of several multi-million pound cross-border business disposals. In addition, he was responsible for reshaping and leading a large internal communications team and design shop tasked with changing the mindset and culture of an organisation then undergoing radical restructuring.

At Ernst & Young, he worked closely with the Firm’s Chairman and Senior Partners, designing, and then implementing, a fundamental restructuring of the UK and global business models.

He was responsible for coaching the leadership team in how they were able to demonstrate, both personally and as a team, the meaning of the change strategy being implemented and how they fulfilled their responsibilities as role models across the Firm, both locally and globally. He was also the architect of the Firm’s people engagement strategy, which embedded partnering behaviours across the organisation.

As an experienced coach he was also responsible for developing and implementing coaching and mentoring programmes for partner candidates.
As a founder partner in a specialist change and communications consultancy Edmund supported several major change programmes for clients in both the private and public sectors, focusing primarily on individual, team and organisational cultural realignment, in which coaching played a critical part, and development of a governance approach in support of stakeholder engagement as well as counselling leaders on the removal and replacement of senior staff.

As a director of Corporate Wizards Edmund uses his skills as a communications expert to inspire and coach business leaders in honing their ability and passion for meaningful communication; thus ensuring that their messages are heard, understood and acted upon.

Depending on the client relationship this is done either as an interim manager and mentor, or as a coach and facilitator.

Working with Edmund enables leaders to naturally engage with those people, upwards and downwards, who influence and shape the organisation’s success. This influence provides these leaders with the confidence, structure and determination to drive the business forward.

Within coaching relationships he draws on his experience as a certified NLP Coach and Master Practitioner and as a certified instructor in hypnotherapy and communications skills so ensuring his clients set and achieve realistic goals.

Edmund has a degree in Materials Science from Imperial College, is a member of various international professional bodies and is a Chartered Engineer. From the start of his career he has been a regular speaker at public conferences and has had numerous papers published. He lived and worked in France for 10 years and has a deep understanding of European, UK and North American business cultures.

His passion is to see those he works with succeed.
