Sibylle Tretera Mphil MBA

ICF PCC coach and NLP Master Practitioner. I work with senior leaders navigating AI-driven change, career pivots, and high-stakes leadership transitions.

I spent over two decades leading teams and driving large-scale commercial strategy at Google and Pinterest across Europe, the Middle East, and Latin America. I know what it means to operate under sustained pressure, to lead through ambiguity, and to make high-stakes decisions with incomplete information - because I lived it.

Since 2022 I have worked as an executive coach and fractional advisor, holding space for senior leaders at organisations including DeepMind, LinkedIn, Reddit, Sony Pictures, and Xbox Game Studios. I am an ICF Professional Certified Coach (PCC), a Co-Active Certified Coach (CPCC), and an NLP Master Practitioner trained at the NLP School in London. I also hold a Polyvagal Certificate, which informs how I work with leaders experiencing chronic stress or burnout.

I bring NLP not as a technique to deploy on clients but as a lens I use to understand the structures behind behaviour — my own included.

I work almost exclusively with senior leaders - Director level and above - who are navigating genuine complexity: AI-driven organisational transformation, career transitions, restructuring challenges,  generational friction within their teams, or the quieter crisis of having succeeded by external measures while feeling increasingly disconnected from their own values and energy.

I am frequently chosen by leaders who are high-functioning on the outside and quietly struggling on the inside. People who have learned to override their own signals in order to perform. NLP gives me precise tools to surface the unconscious patterns - the internal representations, the language structures, the presuppositions - that are keeping a client stuck in ways they often cannot yet name.

I also have a specific focus on women in senior roles navigating visibility, ambition, and the particular exhaustion that comes with performing leadership in organisations that were not designed with them in mind.

My strongest results have come in four areas:

Leadership transitions - moving from expert to leader, from employed to portfolio, from operator to strategist. These transitions require a fundamental shift in how a person understands themselves.

Stakeholder influence and communication - particularly for technically strong leaders who have been told they need to "work on their presence." NLP is exceptionally useful here: we work on the actual structures of how they communicate, and how to navigate successfully a complex organisation.

Multi-generational team dynamics - helping leaders understand and bridge the expectation gap between their own formation as a professional and the very different assumptions their Gen Z and Millennial teams bring to work, feedback, and authority.

Burnout prevention and recovery - I help leaders recognise the early signals, redesign how they work, and rebuild sustainable energy without dismantling what they have already built.

I have found that senior leaders are often surrounded by people who soften difficult truths - and they know it. They come to coaching partly because they want a space where that stops. Honesty and depth in our sessions are therefore important.

I also care about the whole person. I hold qualifications in somatic and nervous system work alongside NLP, because I know that the most sophisticated cognitive reframe in the world will not land if a person's body is in a chronic threat response. I work across those levels.

What sets me apart is probably the combination: genuine seniority in complex commercial environments, NLP precision at the level of language and unconscious structure, and a coaching container that is warm but direct. I work authentically with my clients, who have described me as highly intuitive, challenging and outcome focused.

Clients typically leave our work together with three things they did not have before: clarity on what they actually want (as distinct from what they thought they should want), a more precise understanding of the patterns that have been limiting them, and concrete shifts in how they show up — in conversations, in decisions, under pressure.

More specifically: leaders report being able to have difficult conversations they had been avoiding, making decisions more cleanly, recovering faster from setbacks, and feeling less dependent on external validation for a sense of direction. Several have described it as finally being able to think clearly in situations that previously triggered a stress response.

I do not promise transformation on a timeline but rigorous, honest, well-informed attention to what is actually happening for a person.

Most clients work with me on a one-to-one basis, typically in six to twelve session engagements, either via video or in person. Sessions are 60 to 75 minutes. I work in English and German.

Within our sessions I draw on a combination of Co-Active coaching, NLP (including submodality work, language pattern analysis, timeline techniques, and parts integration where relevant), and somatic approaches. I do not have a fixed method but follow what is actually needed.

Beyond individual coaching, I also work with leadership teams on specific challenges - communication under pressure, navigating AI-driven change, building psychological safety across generational difference. And I work with organisations as a fractional advisor on AI strategy and workforce transformation, which occasionally intersects with coaching, as leadership challenges arise.

You are likely a good fit if you are a senior professional who takes your own development seriously, wants to be challenged rather than reassured, and is ready to look honestly at the patterns underneath the presenting problem - not just problem-solve the surface.

A good fit also means you are comfortable with an approach that moves between the cognitive and the somatic/intuitive, that takes language seriously as a window into belief structures, and that does not shy away from difficult realisations.

The best way to know is a 30-minute introductory call. I will be direct about whether I think I can help and equally direct if I think someone else would serve you better. I would rather refer well than work with clients where the fit is not right.

This work is a strong fit for senior professionals - typically at Director, VP, or C-suite level - who are navigating genuine complexity and are willing to engage with the less visible dimensions of that: their own assumptions, language patterns, somatic responses, and identity structures. It is particularly well-suited to leaders in tech, creative industries, and international organisations.

It often is also a strong fit for people who are high-functioning but aware that something is not working - those experiencing early burnout,  a challenging career transition, or a growing sense of disconnect from their own motivation and core values.

It is probably not the right fit for people looking for structured career advice, job search support, or a primarily practical coaching approach. It is also not designed for people in acute mental health crisis - I work alongside therapy, but coaching is not therapy.

One thing worth knowing: I bring lived experience of high-pressure commercial environments and significant career transition. That is not a credential - but for some clients, it matters that their coach has been in the territory, not just studied the map.

I'm still working on this part of my profile.
