Breath Body Mind™ practice - week 3

The programoffers gentle, accessible mind–body practices that honour neurodivergent ways of sensing, processing, and engaging.

18th June 2026

Programme Overview

This is a six‑week programme designed specifically for neurodivergent adults. Each session runs for 45 minutes, once a week, online.

The group is intentionally small, up to 6 people, because that size supports safety, predictability, and a sense of connection without becoming overwhelming.

The purpose of the programme is to offer gentle, accessible mind–body practices in a format that honours neurodivergent ways of processing, sensing, and engaging.

Who This Programme Is For

This cohort is for neurodivergent adults who experience things like:

  • fast or busy thinking

  • sensory overload

  • emotional intensity

  • fluctuating attention

  • variable energy

  • cycles of burnout

No experience with breathwork, movement, or meditation is needed. Everything is paced gently, with choice at every stage.

What We Practice

Breath Body Mind™ (BBM) is a gentle sequence of simple movement, rhythmic breathing, and light imagery. Developed by Dr Richard Brown and Dr Patricia Gerbarg, BBM brings together accessible elements from Qigong, Yoga, martial arts, and traditional breathwork, adapted to be low pressure, flexible, and suitable for different bodies, energy levels, and neurotypes.

Through breath, rhythm, and simple movement, BBM can help:

  • soften overwhelm or internal agitation

  • re‑engage when energy feels flat or “offline”

  • create a steadier internal baseline

  • support clearer thinking and smoother attention shifts

  • offer grounding during busy or demanding days

These shifts are subtle, supportive, and always paced to the individual

Why BBM Is Neurodivergent‑Friendly

BBM is taught in a way that honours sensory needs, autonomy, and emotional safety. It is:

  • gentle and low pressure — no expectation to “get it right”

  • predictable and structured — steady pacing, clear transitions

  • adaptable — seated, standing, smaller movements, or quieter options

  • sensory aware — minimal instructions, low sensory load

  • movement first — ideal for people who struggle with stillness

  • emotionally safe — no forced sharing, no deep internal focus required

People can engage in whatever way feels accessible that day.

How the Six Weeks Unfold

The programme is shaped with neurodivergent adults in mind, with a gradual introduction of practices so nothing feels overwhelming.

  •  We begin with movement‑supported breathing and more voice‑guided pacing, which helps people ease in at a manageable pace.

  • Over the weeks, practices are layered gradually.

  • Variations are introduced slowly to keep the experience engaging and to offer different ways of settling, focusing, and finding steadiness.

The aim is to build familiarity and confidence gently, so people can explore the practices without pressure and find what works best for their body and attention in any given session.
