ANLP Roles

An accomplished NLP Professional living and working in Cardiff, Georgia Walby is known for creating breakthroughs in thinking via the ability to simplify the complex, enabling individuals to see and understand what was previously obscured.

In 2020, through lived experience Georgia became the Lead of Long Covid Wales, a group formed to provide support to and campaign on behalf of individuals living with Long Covid. This is a voluntary role which is ongoing and which in the past year has seen her working with senior decision makers in politics and medicine.

Georgia set up her NLP business in 2009 after ten years of working in specialist youth work. Initially focusing on providing therapeutic breakthrough programmes for individuals, Georgia has since added the additional services of business consultation and management supervision. In 2012 she became a therapeutic Service Provider for South Wales Police, taking referrals through their Health Care & Safety Team. Since 2013 Georgia has run Mindset Matters: Using NLP In Business in most major cities throughout the UK.

Georgia gained NLP Trainer certification in 2014 and began delivering NLP Practitioner Training in the same year. Since then she has run regular NLP Practitioner and Master Practitioner courses from her dedicated training centre in Cardiff to which students from across the UK and beyond attend.

In 2016 Georgia had a one-day workshop and a number of coaching sessions professionally filmed as training products. She has since developed a series of digital programmes for personal and professional development in order to work remotely with individuals and businesses.

Taking advantage of the popularity of social media Georgia was one of the pioneers of running online challenges in 2015. Building very successful and engaging Facebook groups has helped her to raise, by donation, thousands of pounds for local charities.

In 2017, Georgia had an article in published in the ANLP Magazine, Rapport. This two-page article detailed two case studies of past clients who had successfully stopped smoking. She documented the conscious and unconscious change processes which must be negotiated in order for an individual to achieve a successful outcome with this habit cessation. In the same year Georgia volunteered to deliver storytelling workshops for children affected by the Grenfell Tower disaster at events run by The Youth Action Alliance in London.

Several years ago Georgia was asked to become a Role Model for Big Ideas Wales due to her abilities working with young people and experience in building businesses. The role involves facilitating workshop sessions and talks in schools and colleges to encourage young people to consider entrepreneurship as a career path.

From 2011- 2013 Georgia was Co-Chair of Cardiff NLP Group, organising regular events and presenting on aspects of NLP at monthly meetings. She maintains strong links with the group, hosting meetings pre- pandemic at her training centre and is currently the Administrator of the Cardiff NLP Group Facebook Page.

I joined the ANLP because I wanted to be part of an independent professional association. As an NLP Trainer I feel that it’s important to demonstrate answerability and ANLP allows me to do this. I’m very pleased to be the ANLP Ambassador for South Wales
