You may have noticed from my social media posts that I recently took part in the World Book Night initiative. I was one of 20,000 ‘givers’ in the UK, and we each gave away 24 copies of a book that had made an impact on us. I chose to give copies of The Alchemist by Paolo Coelho, since that book has such a lovely way of talking about life and goals. I noticed that a larger number of people than ever before were involved in the event, talking about books, excited about books and sharing books. It reminded me that books really do change lives, if you let them....
