Celebrate your miestones

Recently The Book Midwife® turned ten years old, and we very nearly didn’t celebrate it at all! My rationale was that I was travelling, speaking and training constantly in the month leading up to the anniversary, and we didn’t have time to plan it properly. In fact, I was conducting three full days of training right up until the anniversary! Plus, it seemed like a big expense at a time when the economy is still shaky and uncertain, and many of our clients are feeling the pinch. Surely the sensible thing to do would be to avoid spending extra money on something without a tangible return on investment....
