Children and young people need to have confidence in themselves and in their abilities; this self belief can be transferred into all areas of their lives. They need to overcome blocks to learning and using a coach can facilitate this. It not only supports them but helps them to develop their full potential in their lives in the present and into the future. Coaching does not take the place of encouragement and support from parents or teachers. What it can do is give a child the opportunity to work with someone on an individual basis that is not part of their regular life, at home or school. A coach is someone who is completely objective....
