The Importance of Due Diligence

We have been doing a LOT of work behind the scenes in recent weeks, to support a group of students that have been left in the lurch by a rogue training company…one of a few rogue trainers that has left us somewhat challenged in recent weeks!

Even though these rogue trainers are not members of ANLP, we have a duty of care to our members and to protect the reputation of NLP…because there are so many great NLP Trainers and Professionals out there and they do not deserve to be tarnished by the actions of a few unscrupulous people out there.

With this particular case, our Ambassadors have come up trumps and offered support to these students too – they are a huge tribute to the professionalism and integrity of our members and reminds us why we do what we do.

Our biggest challenge, at the moment, is the lack of due diligence undertaken by vulnerable end users of NLP services. They quickly buy into the slick marketing machines that sell them a solution to every conceivable issue they have and lets face it, we’d all buy into that.

It underlines to us the importance of doing due diligence before engaging the services of these ‘less than’ professionals. You would test drive a car before buying it, you would look around a house before putting in an offer…wouldn’t you? Even banks have introduced additional layers of scrutiny to protect us from ‘scammers’, which just underline, again, how important it is to CHECK the credentials of anyone you plan to work with…to protect yourself.

NLP as a whole and ANLP Members in particular have so much to offer society, especially in the current climate…look at the way our members rallied to provide resources for key workers and those struggling with challenges brought on by the impacts of covid-19.

Just make sure you do your due diligence BEFORE you find yourself in the same situation as these poor students – unable to get their money back and holding NLP and coaching qualifications that aren’t worth the paper they are printed on…you deserve better than that.
