Lizzi Larbalestier is a Blue Health Coach - An ICF Professional Coach, NLP and mBIT Trainer and ANLP Regional Ambassador specialising in marine-based change facilitation.

Going Coastal Blue helps clients (primarily senior execs) to reconnect with awe and access what she describes as “littoral wisdom” enabling individuals to become less certainty reliant, more emotionally and environmentally coherent. Blue Health Coaching focuses on the ecology of decision making and advocates connecting with analogue experiences to promote professional and personal flow.

A background in Strategic HR and Commercial Operations roles ensures business coaching is creative and outcome orientated whilst informality and a disarming use of humour enable a provocative and deeply challenging coaching style.

A Masters degree studying "ambiguity leverage" and a fascination with applied neuro-science and environmental psychology is the foundation for a highly “a-typical” and emergent coaching approach.

Lizzi has independently researched the impact of blue space upon breath efficacy in collaboration with two universities, exploring the relationship between breath, location, coherence and decision making. She also works closely with colleagues in the US to champion and develop the field of neuro-conservation and is regularly asked to speak on the topic of Beach Wisdom / Coastal Coaching. In addition to her coaching / consultancy practice, Lizzi is currently writing a book entitled “Beach Wisdom - A guide for Blue Health Coaches”.

Going Coastal open NLP Practitioner Programmes are accredited by ANLP and offer the opportunity to learn and experiment with NLP in one of the most beautiful corners of the UK. These courses are also run in-house for a range of organisations.

She is qualified and registered with the British Psychological Society to administer a range of psychometrics and has a wealth of experience utilising these with individuals and teams.

Having taken Lizzi's NLP Practitioner Training for professional development, I was amazed at the extent to which it positively influenced my personal life too.

This exciting and challenging course has increased my confidence and self-awareness; I have a new-found sense of freedom as more choices have become available to me; and the valuable insights I have gained will continue to benefit me in all aspects of my life.

I highly recommend working with Lizzi. A fantastic trainer and an awesome person, she offers outstanding support throughout the course and beyond. Lizzi's uniquely playful approach to learning, incorporating outdoor training in a beautiful location and various opportunities to put new skills into practice, made this a fascinating course that I didn't want to end.

I did the 3 day NLP Diploma with Lizzi in November 2012. We were a small group which gave us lots of time for discussion and individual feedback. The course was fascinating, and I enjoyed the range of activities and the way Lizzi challenged us to get the most out of ourselves and each other.

I feel much more aware of my own patterns of behaviour now, and the realisation that I can choose how I react to situations and people has been a revelation. It's something that's simple but incredibly effective.

I really enjoyed the range of activities, and being able to work outside, particularly walking in the sand dunes, made them really memorable.

I feel as though I've taken the first step on what will be an exciting journey, and I hope to go along to one of the practice sessions soon to keep developing my skills.

Thank you, Lizzi!

The NLP Diploma that I did with Lizzi in Spring 2011 certainly opened me up to new ways of thinking. After the three days it gave me a greater insight in to both how I function in terms of communication but also how other people work. As someone in a management position I feel it has helped me to develop more positive and individualised relationships with colleagues and enabled me to get the most out of people by recognising and valuing them.
The way the course was structured created a stimulating environment and the use of the amazing local environment added to the learning experience – being led blindfolded around the sand dunes by one of the other participants was such a powerful exercise. The relaxed atmosphere within the group and the way that we all developed as the three days progressed under Lizzi’s guidance made it not only hugely informative but also hugely enjoyable.

It's great to be able to have an opportunity to share the impact NLP training has had on me both personally and professionaly. I attended the Spring/summer 2011 not sure what to expect, I only knew I wanted to improve my communiction skills and develop as a person.

Intense, challenging, thought provoking, illuminating, humourous, emotional, inspiring are some words that come to mind when describing the training. If you want a course where you just sit there and are spoon fed this is not the course for you!!! The more you put in, the more you get out.

Lizzi's course has helped me in so many ways. I have developed skills that have enabled me to design and deliver training courses, something that I had never done before. Flexibility of communication styles, intention and impact, perceptual positions have all had a particular impact on how I deliver and respond to training needs.

I have also set up my own theatre company, another first!

What this course has given me is a diverse skill set, an understanding that goals are achievable, that limiting beliefs once recognised can be challenged, that we do indeed have all the skills and resources available to us, that anyonne can change their emotional state, it is a choice.

The practice group that Lizzi provides is an opportunity to continue to develop these skills. There is always something to learn.
Thank you Lizzi!
Belinda

I attended a 10 week NLP course at Truro College in 2009 knowing very little of the subject and even less about Lizzi.  It required a 3 hour commute, but despite this I religiously attended and it quickly became the highlight of my week. Every meeting equipped me with more tools and resources I couldn't wait to try out, enabling me to approach long established challenges with a new techniques and enthusiasm. During those sessions, Lizzi's demonstrated how utilise intuitively familiar techniques to their full efficacy and taught a wide range of new skills which further enhanced my thought processes and daily interactions.

At that time I'd attended over 90 adult education courses and none of them had been as thoroughly enjoyable or engaging as learning NLP with Lizzi. I knew that I wished to pursue my learning with her and was delighted when she announced that she'd be delivering a Practitioner's course.

This was a wonderfully intimate group which met for three days once a month during the spring/summer 2011.  We were offered a wide range of indoor and outdoor activities to maximise our learning.  We were also provided a handbook written by Lizzi specifically for the course which was and has been a fantastic resource. The teaching enabled me to learn more about myself and it became common to experience several epiphany's during those long weekends.

I have also regularly attended the Practice Group.  It has been a fantastic way to maintain the skills and experiment in a relaxed and safe environment with others who have a really wide range of experience and skills.

Although the specific learning I have experienced is too numerous to detail here, it has changed my life. Through the Practitioner's course, my long established belief that I was not smart/studious/dedicated enough to attend university was completely undermined and enabled me to develop the confidence I needed to just try. Not only have I just finished my first year with a first, I also obtained the highest grade in my year.  If it were not for Lizzi and NLP, I would never ever have even considered applying.

Although I don't question the value of NLP, I do feel that I couldn't have benefited more from any other trainer.

Can't wait for Lizzi to role out a Master Practitioner's Course. I'll certainly be on it.

I attended the March-August 2012 Practitioner course run by Lizzi and found it to be brilliant. I decided to do my Practitioner certification after some mentoring with Lizzi and wanting to know more; I had found the mentoring extremely useful for challenging my own behaviour and wanted more knowledge to help others and improve my own skills further.

Since completing the course I have been amazed at how much NLP has made a difference to me, and others around me. I use the skills I have learnt regularly and because of the proactive, varied coaching techniques (anchoring of different, and beautiful locations around Perranporth and Cornwall) the learning has really stayed with me! Having such a great mix of ladies to work with was also very rewarding.

Training was challenging at times but we were continually given so many opportunities to learn, reflect and feedback it was a great learning environment, one that I would always recommend and I'm sad is over!

I attended the March-August 2012 Practitioner course and was fortunate to work with 5 other wonderful women under Lizzi's tuition!I decided to partake in the course to help me to communicate with those around me more effectively and to be able to pursue new work opportunities with confidence,I would also like to be able to help those around me to make better choices for themselves and this course has enabled me to do that.
Over the weekends we received excellent tuition at a pace that suited all of us but allowed us to learn all that we needed to,it was thought provoking and enlightening and it was great for me that it was based indoors and out!All activities were challenge by choice and I always felt very respected by Lizzi for the choices I made.I really enjoyed the course and look forward to attending the practice group when I can to further my learning and practic my skills.
Lizzi made me feel comfortable and even though there is lots of information to take it,it was never boring!I had a great time with Lizzi and the other women in my group.Thank you.

I attended Catalystnlp Spring/Summer 2011 Practioner group with 8 others and loved every minute of it. It was some of the most interesting learning I have ever enjoyed. We learnt the practical skills of using NLP techniques but more importantly we used a wide variety of activities to study NLP application in real life. We went surfing, high rope climbing, walking in the sand dunes......along with hard core indoor learning with flip charts and action learning in small groups. Lizzi did a fabulous job of selecting a wide range of individuals from all sorts of backgrounds which made the whole experience even richer.

My main reason for doing the course was to communicate more effectively with everyone I interact with and I can honestly say this course and the continued learning and application through day to day practice and attending a practice group has transformed my life!
