Leadership capability has been the subject of training, mentoring and coaching since time immemorial. Approaches range from heavy theory-based academic courses to outdoor activity-based programmes and anything in between. Recently I had the privilege of spending time with a group of top coaches qualifying as a Marshall Goldsmith Stakeholder Centred Coach. Initially the ‘outside in’ method taken in SCC (Stakeholder Centred Coaching) of changing behaviour before beliefs and values, felt alien to the NLP approach. However, as the programme progressed I became increasingly excited about the opportunities a combination of the two has to offer....
