Complete package

This is a very interesting, well structured and organised book. It gives the reader a very good and detailed plan of how to implement a weight-reduction programme within their business. The first few chapters are the explanatory preamble to the actual therapy sessions.

There are 8 sessions in the book and they follow a logical progression so that the client is on a solid track to reduce their weight by completing the programme and each one explains exactly what to do and even highlights the processes required to complete the session.

The client sessions are:
Session 1: Intake interview and introduction
Session 2: Reframing compulsive eating
Session 3: Training in self-hypnosis
Session 4: Stopping emotional eating with stress management
Session 5: Making sensible food choices
Session 6: Creating an intelligent relationship with food
Session 7: Boosting motivation to exercise
Session 8: Pulling it all together for lasting results.

I was very impressed that a pricing structure was included, specifically that it is sold as a programme of 8 sessions and not 'pay-as-you-go'.
The author says that the whole fee should be paid prior to even starting the programme and there are no refunds or concessions to be applied.
She points out that the pricing structure is designed to achieve several things, it weeds out those that are looking for a quick fix and those that are not serious about reducing their weight. It also holds the client accountable and they must reach specific goals and targets before continuing.

To complete this book, there are many different scripts and templates that can be easily adapted for your own specific requirements.
I can't wait to implement a weight reduction programme in my business and model the structure across to other programmes in the future (Smoking Cessation, for example)
