Simon Dickens

I’ve gained a lot of experience over the last 16 years in public service and customer service roles. This includes the police service, ambulance service, and teaching (In schools and climbing). Experiences from dealing with and helping people of many ages, from all sorts of different backgrounds, in all sorts of different circumstances. It has allowed me to “look at the bigger picture” to think about “self identity” about “patients for yourself and others” and more importantly, “empathy” I have witnessed a lot and have seen the best and worse of society.

I have also been through personal bereavements, including my mother who died from cancer. This was again another life-changing event for me, which eventually taught me many more lessons.

I am also an entrepreneur myself and am in the middle of building two businesses from the ground up. I have used my own training and coached myself through lots of different aspects of the ways forward to achieve my goals and dreams!

I like to try and stay active as it’s good for my mental health. I enjoy some part-time Muay Thai (kick boxing) and also climbing (which I teach indoors). My great passions are music and poetry. I like to play guitar and drums and have written music and poetry at home. With all these experiences, hobbies and passions, I like to think I’m a well-rounded individual with a lot to offer the world around me.
