Online Profile as a Marketing Tool

Have you ever hired someone using an online website?  What did you do?  Search for the services you wanted, put in some criteria, perused the results, looked at some reviews and testimonials, looked at the other services offered…?

What do you think someone will do when looking for your services?  Will they do anything different?  Perhaps you will read the following quotes as your convincer strategy…

“The average consumer reads 10 reviews before feeling able to trust a local business” (https://www.brightlocal.com/research/local-consumer-review-survey/)

Positive reviews make 91% of consumers more likely to use a business.”  (https://www.brightlocal.com/research/local-consumer-review-survey/)

“People connect with stories, and there’s no better method of storytelling in business than using your customer’s voice in a data-backed case study.” (https://optinmonster.com/5-reasons-you-need-to-invest-in-case-studies-right-now/)

Get a good photo on your profile too…an anonymous grey circle is much less inviting or inspiring…a photo says “here is a real person I can talk with”…

There is another piece which is just as important…the “About” [You] tab on your profile.  In NLP we learn about building Rapport and the “About” tab is all about connecting with your potential clients.  It can be factual and give the minimum details…and it is also a chance for you to connect and build rapport before you have even met someone.  Rapport is a major part of sales and marketing.

Even in the digital age, “people buy from people” and in most cases, building a relationship helps to build picture of how that relationship can work.  Tell the reader a little bit about yourself so that they can find ways to connect to you…  When searching for someone to help ourselves or coach us, we can make these connection/relationship decisions in a heartbeat and all of the description above, all of the processing the is required is done at an instinctive level and is often done very quickly.

Your ANLP profile is another, important shopfront for you and your business (your own website and social media presence are also important marketing tools).  It is an important marketing opportunity.  Membership of ANLP give you both credibility and a web presence in addition to your own site. Make sure you make the most of the marketing opportunities offered with your online profile.

We can bring people to the ANLP website – they can find your profile on the site...after that its up to you to engage with them and build enough rapport for them to take the next step...
